JULY 2019

REAL FAMILIES…. REAL STORIES…. REAL IMPACT

“This is a young man who was recently homeless with his mother, living in a nearby shelter. Your help has demonstrated to him that there are people in the community who care about him and his family.” – HCDSB Principal

Since this family is a refugee family, the mother has been struggling to adjust financially, and with the new culture and language. The funding they received has provided a great opportunity for the student to experience summer camp, as she has not experienced something like that before.”  – HCDSB Social Worker

“With the funding received from HCCEF, the student was able to attend his Grad trip to escape the conflict at his home, as his divorced parents were experiencing financial issues.” – HCDSB Principal

HCCEF was able to help these students and families, thanks to people like you who support the HCCEF Student Guardian Program!

Congratulations, you gave these students the opportunity to succeed in school.

Thank you!

8th ANNUAL HCCEF CHARITY GOLF CLASSIC

June 12, 2019

What a beautiful turnout for our 8th Annual HCCEF Charity Golf Classic at Piper’s Heath Golf Club! It was an amazing day for golf, fun, and helping support students & families in need.

Not only had the weather been amazing during the tournament, but also all the kind people involved with this event! Golfers, sponsors, dinner attendees, donors (prizes and financial), volunteers, community members; all of you helped to raise over $16,000 for Halton students & families in need.

Thank you!

HCDSB SCHOOLS GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY

June 27, 2019

“Students simply helping out other students”

Recently, St. John Paul II Catholic Elementary School, and St. Brigid Catholic Elementary School have made very generous donations to the HCCEF Student Guardian Program.

From St. John Paul’s Art Show & French Café, and St. Brigid’s Spirit Days; it’s truly inspiring to see students get involved in the community and open up opportunities for other students!

It was very wonderful to meet students who are actively engaged in the community, and who look out for others.

Thank you for your kind generosity. Give yourself a round of applause!
