Reflections on the 24 Hour Fast

Made it – 24 Hours of Fasting….whew! I started at 7am yesterday. At noon yesterday….5 hours in… my stomach started growling, and I thought I might be in big trouble. Some of my reflections throughout the 24 hours were: I am choosing to not eat…many students and families have to choose between paying for rent/utilities and paying for food. How can your support help?  Here’s how: “…..Mental illness can be paralyzing in so many ways but he continues to try to connect with his peers and participate as much as he possibly can. His ongoing efforts are reflective of tremendous strength and courage. He was happy and somewhat eager to return to school and join his grade five peers.
